$13k is too high for 200,000mi and 80-90k on the motor. Even if the car is in looks clean, you're going to have problems with the many parts of the car that simply wear out over time. $10k should be reasonable.

As a general rule cars are engineered to last 150k, so you are past the intended life of this vehicle. It can be frustrating looking for an FD, and you may be tempted to buy the first one you find. I say keep looking, you won't regret it.

Forget it. Plus possible rust.

If you look here:
http://www.lamotorcars.com/inventoryvpc.html
you can see these

1993 Mazda RX-7 Red 54,000 $16,995
1995 Mazda RX-7 Silver 69,000 $16,995
1993 Mazda RX-7 Red 73,000 $16,995
1994 Mazda RX-7 Red 99,000 $16,995
1993 Mazda RX-7 Montego Blue 85,000 $14,995
1993 Mazda RX-7 Black 93,000 $13,995

And they come with 2-3 year national warranties (of some value). Take the time and drive it back or have it shipped for 1500.

Hang in there...I think with a couple more grand you can have a really nice mobile Like Jonski, I think you are going to start having problems out the wazooo...Especially with then engine on 80-90k...when buying a 7 ALWAYS factor in a rebuild into the price if it's the original engine with 80k+ miles....well, unless you are a dumb *** like me ...we live and we learn..

If the guy is asking 13k, try offering a little less and see what he says. In reality, 13k isnt that bad for a FD (still a couple thousand under a new civic). As long as the body is in good condition and inteior as well as suspension, I'd say go for it if you really want one. you can always buy a rebuild and pay someone to put it in for you as well as a single turbo upgrade and it will still be cheaper then a new Accord

BTW: Just wanted to let you know that 13k is a bit below blue book, if god forbid you did crash it, you would get more money from insurance then what you paid for the car, some thing to keep in mind, especially if your gonna race it...

Hell no, dont buy that. 200K is way too high for $13,000, even if it had a new motor, in my eyes anyways.

Let me guess from Car Nu Supercars?(http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/id...ar_id=88946690) I've heard some bad things about them and to be honest I wouldn't pay over 6k for that FD. I wouldn't pay no where near 13k..

If you're going to buy either go to a private seller or go to www.lamotorcars.com

I wouldn't buy it. I say that because I looked around and found a 93 touring with some mods with 89k on chassis and 25k on motor for $13,000. There are plenty of good deals out there, but I found most of the nicer condition ones were the ones I saw on the forum for sale. If you have the money, get the one on auto trader for $38,000 with only 10k miles. Haha, I wonder if that one is still for sale...
