Run leaner on hot days?????

I've always heard it the other way around. Otherwise you would blow your car up on the dyno. They always get heat soaked after a couple of pulls.

If you tune it lean on the dyno when it's heat soaked you run a greater risk on the road where the intake temps are lower & the air is cooler & denser.

What you meant to say was watch out for cold damp morning runs a WOT. That will put your car in the danger zone.

Not hot weather...............

I see alot of open holes on your airbox on the filtered air side. That alarms me.

They plugged internally?

Those holes are negligible. The hole at the back is what the stock BOV vents to. It is routed to the hole on the side that's supposed to have a hose that carries the vented air to the underside of the airbox and out the bottom of the car.

Technically you can blow your car up on hot or cold days. They run leaner on cold (cool) days. But, the closer you're A/F ratio is to stoich (14.7:1) the hotter your combustion temps are compared to a richer mixture. The hotter the ambient temp,
the hotter the combustion chamber temps which can cause pre-ignition.

And where you want to be if you're looking to put another reman in... Tune it more conservatively, you won't regret it.

Thanks for the compliment. The original owner took really good care of this car, and I'm trying to do the same.
