Damn, that looks good. If you had a 99 spec or a Feed front end you'd be bangin! I like the looks of the carbon fiber on black FD. Wheels give it a nice touch too...good pick

Those are the ADR M-sport wheels. They are 18" by 8.5" all around. I got them for like $1300 with tires, it was a great deal. Thanks for the support guys

What hood is that? And where did you get it from? Could you take a close up of the cf pattern?

Looks awesome on there. Gonna paint it or leave it be? I don't mind cf with black paint

The hood is a VIS "KS" hood, off of ebay believe it or not.

 

I'll get some close up pics of the carbon pattern of the hood a little better tomorrow. I love it on a black car, so I don't think I'm gonna paint it. Outside in sunlight from some angles it looks like its painted solid black. I did have to do a little work with the latch in order to get the hood to close perfectly though, but hey, it wasn't that bad...

So this hood doesn't need a hood pin? I'm planning on getting this hood also. Don't really like the hood pin look if I can avoid using it.

Here are some closer pics of the carbon pattern. No pins for this hood, it just latches like the stock one. Bolts on in no time.

Did it come with the mesh screening? I like how you can see your hoses....Also on your second pic in the street. There is a black line up the center of the hood...Is this a shadow or is it the CF material overlapping?( i think it's just the angle of the pic)

 

Unfortunately, the hood has no water deflectors for the vents. I never really drive the car in any kind of weather to need one, but I'm going to make my own here this weekend. I figured just something simple, that I could pin up under neath to bring all the water down to the nose and out, rather than onto the engine. It came with the mesh screen intalled, and its easily removable with small pins that hold it in. I circled on here in yellow

As for the pattern, that carbon fiber makes my camera crazy. It is all uniform though. The picture is just the way the light hits it. At certain angles the carbon fiber picks up differently across the hood because there are so many dips and bumps, the camera seemed to have a hard time seeing the differences in black and grey, especially with a thick clear coat on top reflecting all the sun. When you see it in person it's perfect though...

its a great hood, keep us updated on a water deflector though....wouldnt want anything to get wet in case of sudden rain or washing the car.

 

I saw this idea on the board by someone else. How about making some light magnetic cut-outs that can be put in place in the rain.( if needed) You know the flexible stuff like your mom used to use to pin up your good grades on the fridge!!Haha! Anyways. You could keep them in the storage bin or glovebox and jump out and stick them to the outside of the mesh. Just a thought. ( Probably would have to lift the hood to get the water to drain off before removing the covers.)
