new owner boost control questions

i just bought an fd and i dont know much about turbos or a rotory engine. what i do know is my car has a new racing clutch, airflow converter, profec bspec 2 and the non sequential turbo setup and custom intercooler as well as some others. now my question is, im only running 5 psi right now, the guy who sold me the car said because it was winter. im dyin to turn it up, i got the manuel i can figure it out but i dont want to overboost. im looking for advice or suggestions.

If everything is right, you should be able to turn it up to 10 psi with a stock ECU. 5 psi doesn't sound right .......... IF everything is working right.

Your running non-seq. You must have aftermarket ECU. Ask the previous owner for the background information of the ECU setup.

1. What is an airflow converter?
2. Is it running the stock ECU?

Post some pics of the engine bay so we have an idea of whats going on underhood.

Like Adam_C said, running stock 10 psi is safe if there is nothing wrong to begin with. You don't want to go too much over 11-12 psi on the stock ECU if you want to be safe though.

Since you don't know a lot about these cars, I'd recommend you find a good local mechanic in your area and take it in for a sanity check. Turbo rotaries don't take kindly to poor mods and tuning and the engine will blow quickly if you too much boost or run lean. You can find a local rotary specialist in the regional forums.
