New Motor Breakin

We just finished rebuilding the motor and i had some questions.

Youre supposed to change the oil after 500 miles...i am using a brand new oil filter so should i replace it again after 500 miles or is it ok to use the same one?

And i understand youre supposed to stay off high boost...i have the power FC so should i set the rev limiter to like 4,000, would that be a good idea??

How many miles does it take to break in a new clutch?

everyone has thier own idea which is best and whats needed, you will formulate your own assumption as to whats best...

clutches normally need a 1k miles before you can start laying into them

Oil filters are cheap... replace it! I don't think it is necessary to set the rev limiter to 4K if you can control your right foot. I am not sure how the PFC limits RPM (ignition or fuel cut), but it is probably not real good for your engine (probably won't hurt it either, but I'd rather limit it with my foot). Stay off the boost, don't rev it too high, and you'll be fine. Also remember to vary the RPMs during break in.

Yeah, you don't want to do 500 highway miles at 3k rpms. That really doesn't count towards break in. Stop and go is better.

By the time you break the clucth in, the motor will be MORE THAN READY to rock and roll.. Anything more than a few hundred miles and a good couple of heatcycles is just crazy.

I'm going to be so scared to actually take my car to red line even after I break in the motor

change your oil filter within 20mins of cranking the motor, then change it after 100 miles, then 500, then 1000, then do normal intervals
