New intercooler installed

Just got my new intercooler .... what do you guys think?

Curtousy of Budweiser racing, their new ice cold beer to air intercooler with ice cold beer injection should reduce intake temperatures dramatically on FD's. Call now for pricing!

On a side note, here is why my engine bay is apart.

I woulda drank one if I werent alergic to alcohol. So is this considered driving with intoxicating alcohol ? There a law against that.

All bottles are kept closed to help reduce heat soaking.

That looked like your turbo ingested a few canned bottle of beers there.

Seriously, how did this happened?

No intoxicated tinkering with my car! Nut backed off the compressor shaft and took its toll on the blades. When I took off the intake to the secondary, the nut was just laying there.

What about the remants of all the blade? It must have either went inside your engine or stuck in the intercooler?

That is strange that the nut backed off. The nut is crimped after it's tightened on the shaft from what I saw of the last set that lasted 100K on my car.

Well, they were rebuilt 50k ago, the turbos possibly over spinned or just lack of proper building. We will never know. The shards got caught in the intercooler .... but one shard was laying in the intake elbow. I started it up and it sounds ok .....

Unhappy

wow jensy, that is some bad luck--boostless FD indeed . I've only seen that one other time, on an HKS T51R Kai when I was at Rotary Performance a while back. On my new set of BNR turbos, Bryan added left hand thread nuts on the compressor wheels so that I don't have to worry about that.

Made a weird high pitch sound. At the time I was only at a couple psi trying to get around someone on the freeway. It would see 16 psi though. A friend of mine had this exact same happen a week ago and it turns out the same place rebuilt both our turbos ....

isn't 16psi pushing the stock turbos pretty hard?

The place is in TX and I don't think anyone contracts them for twins anymore. I would say 16 psi on stock turbos and stock IC and stock fuel is pushing it ....

I was going to go the Labatt route, but my sources at Beer Intercoolers Inc told me that it doesn't hold well above 15 psi.

If this deal with a friend falls through, I'll definitely contact you about the turbos. Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
