New Ignition stuff.

My car has been experiencing some bad misfires randomly, so i decided to replace some of possible culprits.

Only problem so far, is that hte replacement ignition harness I ordered doesn't seem to have a grounding strap like my old one had.

I'm gonna look this up and see if that's normal.

N3A3-18-05Z that is the part number to the harness I ordered.

it does not have the ground strap for a good reason. they found some of them arc because of it being so close. and grounding on the coil pack. that actualy fixed a problem i was having at one point.

I bought the harness for 53.50 from mazdaformance.com. Regular price is 71.35 but they give rx-7 people a discount.

Well those pics aren't exactly nice, i upped the compression on those so i can post them as pics. But the camera i use is an Oympus C-3000 3.3 Megapixel Camera.

Almost all 3.3 MP cameras kick *** now.

Thanks Gordon for the advice on teh MSD Coils, I didn't know they made any that would work on the FD. I will definitely look into that.

Which MSD Coil pack are you using?

I'm already using all four trailing plugs on all corners, and i upgraded from the smaller 8.5 (i think) to 10mm magnacore wires.

My maps are due in for a re-tune from XS soon. After the install of a fmic and the ignition upgrades, I'll see how it goes. Thanks though!

Generally hotter plugs burn cleaner. May help passing emmissions. But can cause detination.
