New Here: 1994 RX7 Type R from Japan needs help!!

Hi!

I bought my car from Japan and had it shipped here to Long Beach, CA. Long story short, somehow my car got out of Japan without clearing customs, which caused it to sit at port for a week without us being able to pick it up. During that time, someone stole the entire center console of my RHD car. I've replaced almost everything, but there are a few pieces that I cannot seem to find and would LOVE if someone could help me acquire these pieces.

The first one is the coin holders that came on JDM cars:

The second one is the holder that holds the coin holders underneath the console:

Lastly, the one that holds the 3 switches in the middle:

Any help acquiring these would be GREATLY appreciated. Finding some of these RHD only parts feels near impossible.

Anyways, with the sadness out of the way, here is a picture of my car. 10,000 original miles, clean as a whistle...except for the parts that people stole that I can't replace:

I think Jesse Streeter in Japan was able to find the parts I need on an auction. Hopefully I can win those auctions, but they are overnight since they are held on Japanese times.

You would probably be ahead of the game just getting a whole JDM center console piece that already has those parts in it. I think trying to find JUST those parts will be tricky but finding the whole thing won't be hard.

I've seen those pop up on Ebay pretty frequently.

The little inserts are the same US and JDM but US was only plain blanks without the coin holder depression. The parts in the back that hold those in place may be different RHD.

Welcome to the club! That's a good looking FD!

Just so people can see what happened.

Here is the car BEFORE it got to Long Beach Port:

I'm slowly getting all the parts to put it all together. Here is where I am right now. Each part replaced makes me feel just a little less violated.

Sorry to hear that story, that really sucks. I'll keep an eye out for those bits over here in NZ, RHD stuff still pops up over here reasonably inexpensive from time to time.

Apart from the center console issues, that interior looks AMAZING though, super inspirational :-).

BC Call my name

I can dig up those parts for you.

Beautiful interior.

A-hole that stole that piece probably does not know it wont fit LHD.

When things settle down, post some more pics here:

I think I have the parts coming from overseas now, but if for some reason they don't show up I will absolutely send you a message.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll make sure to post more photos as I get it fixed.

BC Worth a Shot

Don't have the coin holders. Just blank (surface a bit marred).

Two pieces US$12.50 each. Shipping US$20. Total US$45.

DM me if you can.

Will trade foe LHD equivalent.

3D printer guys....should be an easy piece to replicate, eh?

Your car is so clean. I bet you paid LHD prices for it. It will be one a reason we will be seeing RHD getting equivalent pricing to LHD going forward.

And I say that having just see that LHD go on Bat for US$67,000. Haha!

So kind, thank you. When I found it for sale it was listed at a broker as "Price on Request" so I thought that meant I couldn't afford it. So I asked anyways, they sent me the price and it wasn't crazy, so I offered what I could afford and the seller took it. So I should always be able to get my money out of this one I think.

@HumanShield

It was great to meet you at the shop (I was there with my Alfa Romeo 4C). I don't check back here often, but send me a PM if you need anything. Enjoy the car!
