New harness connectors

93 Sunroof Canadian FD, auto to manual swapped - My dash, instrument and front harness under the dash are in very poor shape from corrosion, but mainly in the connectors. Are the individual connectors able to be ordered to repair my harness? I would like to avoid hacking up a good 94 instrument harness and dash / firewall harness if I don't need to

BC Connecting

Someone in our chat mentioned "Data Networking and Assemblies" in Burnaby B.C. for obscure connectors.

Here is another site of interest: Select "OEM Terminals and Shells"

Awesome info in those threads and it will be helping me for sure! After combing through those sites, and paged upon pages at digi key and mouser, I still cant seem to find these ones that are in the instrument harness.

The manufacturer for most (if not all) of the FD's connectors were made by Tyco/AMP. They were absorbed into TE Connectivity. You may have better luck using their website's search function if you are looking for a specific socket like the 2 photos you attached above. I believe the wire gauge is either 18AWG or 20AWG. Please verify the wire gauge to narrow the search further.

TE Connectivity: Automotive, Truck, Bus, & Off-Road Terminals: Automotive, Truck, Bus, & Off-Road Terminals Products TE Connectivity

Are you trying to replace the pin/socket or entire connector? If so, do you have any photos of the connector(s) in need of replacement?

It also looks like Mouser has a good database of automotive connectors that you could check. I would advise searching the TE Connectivity category then refine your search from there.

Let us know what you find!

Cheers,
George

Motorcycle Terminals, Connectors, and Wiring Accessories carries a lot of old terminals for our car, you can thank the V8 swap guys if you find what you're looking for.
