When I do strictly city driving, that is about my max as well (somewhere in the range of the low 200's). My highway range is increased by at least another 100 miles.

I've gotten 400 miles out of a tank while cruising on the highway during a cross country trip.

Average about 250-300 city driving, but that is staying off boost as much as possible. Ive gotten close to 400 with mostly highway driving.

Ive also gone to the other extreme and have barely gotten 150 from a tank, but thats when im out having a bit of fun on the mountain roads.

I used to average about 210-230 in "city" driving conditions. Only about 160-180 for spirited drives. Most was over 300 on a 3hr plus road trip with cruise control.

So I have a quick question about Fuel Injetors now... Just because you have 800cc/1600cc injectors doesnt mean you have to flow that much gas goes it?? Like can you regualate fuel flow through injectors, of is the size of teh injector directly preportional to its fuel outpot?? thanks

nope... if you have a stock ECU, it doesn't know you have a 1680cc injector in each secondary, so it opens the injector for the amount of time it thinks a 850cc should. If you stuck a set of 1680's in, you would get almost twice as much fuel as you need.
You have to get an aftermarket ecu (Apexi Power FC, Motech, Microtech, etc) to be able to manage the injectors properly. With twice as much fuel, you would have very little or no power and wash all the oil off the plates. The stock ECU can correct over/under fuelling by a very limited amount, using the O2 sensor in the downpipe, however this is not for the entire rev range and used for emision controll rather than optimum power.
This is what people are talking about when they "map" a car. They set the injector opening times for the different levels of boost and rpm. Obviously, it's a little more involved than just pressing buttons!! If you run big injectors in your primarys, you can run in to trouble at idle, when you have the injector set as low as it will go and it is still providing too much fuel. Hence the 550cc and 850cc injectors in a standard setup. You can get better atomisation of fuel from an injector when it is running at lets say 50% than you can at say 10%, which is why you don't have one 1400cc injector (550+850) per rotor.
The Rx8 on the other hand is very good at correcting the fuel and ignition maps through out most of the rev range, and "learns" as you drive. This has caused no end of trouble for people using "piggy-back" fuel controllers as the ECU "corrects" back to the Mazda ideal settings.

300 miles to the tank was my record. This was mainly highway miles, some city driving here and there with the occasional boost on freeway on ramps. Since then I changed my fuel filter, spark plugs, had the injectors serviced and got a rebuilt. I havent paid attention to my mileage since then. It should be better than 300.

i drove 117 miles on 4.2 gallons of gas on my way to school about 3 weeks ago. this was going 60mph on cruise control and its mostly flat. i filled up and topped it off when i departed, and filled it up and topped it off when i arrived. that equals 27.8mpg

last tank i drove ALL city and it was 17mpg
