Okay I'm probably not the best person to give advice on this subject, since I'm still in the process of getting my damn car started ever since I got it.

But from what you say the car does not crank over at all from turning your key, unless you jump it at the starter, right?

Well the ignition switch is what you put your key into. And believe me you'll have a bit of fun removing it, with slotless studs.

Now when you turn the ignition switch it if it cranks your engine than its good.

 

FOUND THE PROBLEM, CHECK THIS IF THE CAR DOES NOT START.

I was under by the pedals testing connections and found the problem. there is a rubber piece that is on the clutch pedal that is circular shaped. If this piece is missing the clutch switch wont be engaged when you press the pedal. On my car the piece was gone and so i got another one from a junkyard for a buck. Problem solved.

Told ya... Always check the clutch switch before ever assuming its something else. Many owners have gone out and bought new alternators, batteries, and/or starters due to overlooking this simple fix. I made sure I would never have the problem again by replacing that piece with a bolt and washers.
