New engine and now it wont run???
so i got my new engine and put it in over the week. i did a street port with 3MM seals on it, and i put it all back together and now it doesnt want to stay running! to start the car i have to pump the gas alot and then it will finally kick over and will idle. but if i try to give it any gas it will jus bogg down. and it i put the gas to the floor it will die. the RPM's wont go over 2 1/2 K. I dont know if it could be timming or a bad coil pack or what... any help guys would be great!!!!
Thanks.

I'd start by looking for vacuum leaks after the throttle body, and double-check that the MAP sensor is hooked up. It's likely something simple that will take 2 days to uncover .

You can't pump gas with a fuel injected engine throttle.
Coil packs do not go bad during an engine replacement.
New engines are harder to start due to being tight and wanting to foul the plugs due to extra lubricant in the chambers.
Adjust your idle up a little to counteract the tightness, 1/4 turn throttle screw..
If you have an ignition amplifier that can muti spark, turn it on.
Test you static fuel pressure per Mazda's intrutions.
Check your TPS voltages.
Make sure your water temp sensor and fuel temp sensor do not have their connectors reversed. They both are the same type and are green. This will cause the engine to always idle rich as fuel temp does not warm up.

yeah the car idles under 500.
i put brand new spark plugs in.
I thought it might have been the fuel pump but i took it out and re-did EVERYTHING and it still runs the same!
DAMN this is frustrating!!! the car has been down since May 7th and now that i get everything back it still doesn't work.

Have you checked your air/fuel ratio? I'm experiencing similar symptons after the new engine went in. Sometimes, but not all the time, the car won't go above 3k rpm and when I look at the A/F, the reading jumps from 10.5 to 18 and above when I press the throttle and get no acceleration. I think my problem lies with the fuel pump and/or the fpr as the previous owner has swapped in an external pump of unknown origin and there's strange noises coming from the device. The car will boost happily to over 1 bar say on my way out to the supermarket and maintain an A/F of 11 but on restarting the car for the return trip, the fuel starvation problem will resume. I've pretty much discounted problem with the ECU or the sensors as they shouldn't cause the on or off fuel problelm if something is permanently shot.
