New Engine Cost?

If someone was to buy a RX7 shell and install a new engine into it, how much would a new engine cost? Has anyone done this or am i thinking out my ***?

well its cheaper to buy a remain, or re-build a blown engine...

but if ur gonna build a new one...from scrach
1k side housings
1k intermideate housings
1k rotors
1k misic parts
1k gaskets and seals
5k +labor..but ull be able to run whatever u want in it..i mean get it poerted and built right..

yeah its probably better to get one rebuilt, their is a place around here called pineapple racing that builts great motors, and they motors start a 1900 for the motor with a good core, alot cheap than spending 5k to build your own from scratch, and after getting some stuff done to the motor while its being rebuilt you can get a better than stock(remaned) motor....
