Hi - thanks for this, but I don't have a Facebook account. Could you make that publicly accessible?

The guy that makes those panels is pretty much just on Facebook, you're gonna need an account.

I've seen those, they do look sharp!

Very nice! Looking into this now. If these fit without needing to relocate or drill anything...I'm in.

I don't think I can make it public. You probably need a Facebook account.

Yeah. I agree. I've seen a few different variations on these, but mostly one off custom work. This guy is producing them.

Many people have damaged fender liner/covers and many others have been shaving their engine bays to clean it up and make it look notably less busy.

They should. It looks like they're above the lines that cross over, and I don't remember the ABS sitting high enough to contact this.

No argument about looks. They are really pretty. But looking at it practically, I’m not sure about removing all that every time I need do a filter change or even just check the dipstick. I think that would get old in a hurry.

^Agreed, routine maintenance should not be such a PITA - that would kill it for me, pretty looks be damned.

Some people may not want the cowl pieces at the back off the engine bay, but the front fender liner pieces will work for a lot of people. I don't think they are available OEM?

The fender liners are still available from Mazda, I seem to recall they were about $150 each last I checked.

The beauty of these fender liners is that they attach from the top, versus from the inside of the wheel wells for the OEM ones. These solve a rubbing problem I have with the stock liners - no matter what I have tried, I still get some rubbing down low on the liners. I'd use these instead of the stock ones as I need something to keep the water/dirt out.

I too can't access the FB page and I have an account.

They look like fancy covers to me, not liners. If installed without the factory liners, the wiring harnesses, headlight motors and everything around them become exposed. These covers would need to be cut if one intends to still have the factory windshield washer and coolant overflow tanks.

You are correct. I think my best solution is to affix a portion of the stock liner to the top of the wheel well, inside the engine bay. Basically, keep the "hole" covered up while allowing the tire to travel freely and not rub anything. I don't have any wiring running inside the liner so I think this will work for me.

I did hear from Tai-Hong Chen and these are not yet available, but he promises they will be "soon" along with pricing.

I like the liners because they cover the wiring in the wheel well. You'd have to keep a portion of them, but with these covers you could def cut a big chunk out to mitigate rubbing.

Prices should be…interesting. Practicality aside, before buying I think I’d want to see good pictures covering a variety of engine configurations so you don’t have to speculate about fitment.

I will likely get the fender hole covers. I have my car stripped right now and have considered welding in some metal there but I'd have to pay someone to make those. I'm sure these will be about the same cost for me and aren't permanent and will look nice.

FYI the same producer (I believe) will be making carbon privacy covers. Always cool to see new parts developed for the car.
