Welcome, and sweet FD!
One word of caution----those Advans look to be 'competition' rubber by the tread pattern, meaning they have a low treadwear, are very sticky, won't last all that long (6-10k miles), and will NOT perform well in the rain. Proceed with caution, living in Cali I'm sure you don't see many rainy days but I'd consider switching to something like a Bridgestone Potenza S03, which is a great high performance tire that won't be dangerous in the rain.

It's funny that you say that 'cause I was looking into Potenza's for when I got back. Yeah--I got the car on Thursday last week--and had to leave that Sunday. It rained from Friday until Sunday morning--and I knew the tread on those Advan's wouldn't let me drive too safely in the rain, so I just kept it parked. It sucked for sure having to leave and not drive my car very much. I only have a couple K left on the Advan's like you said--so I'm not too sad about having to take them off. I'll just garage them and get a a couple track days out of them in the near future. Definately thanks for the heads up--I appreciate it. FD owners have to look out for eachother right ?

Yeah--I'm already addicted. And thanks a lot! I still feel guilt thinking I might take away it's rarity with my miles. Never thought it would have entered into the equation, haha. I should have gotten one with 50K and I wouldn't feel so bad about it.

As for the low miles. Savor everyone of them. Don't use the car for transportation or you will really feel guilty... Only use it for recreation, like to a meet or sunday drives... This will keep the miles low and will give you plenty of great memories with the car... One more bit of advice. When out on the town, only park it where you can see it...
Dwayne
PS. Have some one at home start the car once every 2 weeks...
PS2. I bought mine with 19,000 miles... 5 years later it has 30,167... All cruise miles...

Very nice car matt, I'm kinda jealous, though i love my FD even with its high miles but i cant complain with the price, your FD is amazingly clean and it will be great if it stays in that clean, low mile state for years to come, and it seems like it surely will with you being the owner. Great find, hope you enjoy it when you get back to Cali.

Good advice for sure. Encouraging to see you enjoying your car and not putting many miles on it--haha. Yeah, my family has the grocery getter that will definately see a majority of the miles I drive around. Damn, I'm like twitching now wanting to drive. The bus really does suck.
Rex--thanks a lot man, you're welcome for a ride anytime, haha.
Much respect,
-Matt
