New boost cut phenomenon on my car
Hey guys...
I really have to say that I was a real lucky guy.
My Rx always run perfectly.
Until now...
I took her for a ride yesterday and then after the first little pull, I recognized that the boost pressure was like "limited" to 0.5bar.
Normally she runs with max. 1bar boost pressure.
So I tested a WOT run in third gear.... but as before.
Only 0.5 bar. after secondary dropped in, slightly over 0.5 bar!
The turbo behaviour was really normal. (spool in of the secondary etc.).
Anything ok. But boost pressure was cut in half!
Because of the bad light yesterday night, I just checkt some major clamps and hoses but everything seemed ok.
Today I have to check the whole thing.
Do you have any suggestions?
Had anyone of you a similar behaviour and found the failure?
I think it could be a broken Reliev valve.
Or one of thousands boost holding hoses^^
What are your suggestions??
thanks in advance
kind regards
Marc

I'm assuming you're stock sequential? Do you have any kind of boost controller installed?
The stock wastegate is around .5bar spring tension, so it sounds like you have a bad vacuum hose or boost control solenoid.

Hey Ahandra...
thanks for the Reply!!
Sorry for the lag of information:
I´m running stock sequential twins, Apexi PFC, Knight Sports V-Mount IC, Blitz BOV (venting to atmosphere)
Two days ago everything seemed fine.
Yesterday then the half boost?!
Thanks for the link!
