New to the board (pics inside)

I am new to the rx-7 world, i just got a 94 touring auto but i have a lot of plans for it. I traded it for my 95 240sx with S15 conversion and SR20det, i also owned a couple Stealth Twin Turbos with decent mods. It sure is diff. driving a rotary, especially the exhaust! I went from spinning all 4 tires and 5000k rpm launches on my Stealth TT, to an auto rotary with descent power. Here are my mods:
Apex N1 catback, 3 inch stainless midpipe, and downpipe (no cats, loud as hell)
APexi Power intake, thats about it for now i have a walbro 255 fuel pump i am throwing in sometime soon.
other thing i have done
apexi bov
apex ground wire system have not installed, could use help if anyone has any ideas or exact links on how to install it properly i check the ones on FAQ's already.
Apex turbo timer
Brembo rotors, with pads
silicone hoses, i heard it is important to do them on these cars.
and going to install the SAfc, if anyone can help me tuning it later too.
and Carbon Creations Full kit
TSW Thruxton 19x10 rear nitto 275/35/19
19x8 front with nitto 245/35/19 not in this pics, will update soon..

i am hoping to run high 12's, is this easily attainable with the SAFC tuned properly and my mods?
I hope t learn alot from you guys, and contribute to this board.
Sorry for all the info, just had to get it all out.

sweet ride man. But first thing I'd do is swap to a manual. With the automatic mission, true spirit of RX7 is not realized.

yes, i agree, its just so much trouble and money, but if i ever have any real problems, or fry my motor, i will surely drop in the manual first chance i get. I dont mind the auto, keeping it relatively reliable and looking good (trying to win car shows)
Thanks for the compliments, i wasn't sure how i would measure up to your guys' cars.
i own my own business, so i have to have some of the advertising on it (front windshield Banner) TRU Motorsports, but yes, the manual will go in later.

Car show stuff is fine, we all have our lusts. Just PLEASE get rid of those altezza lights. The FD is a art piece and the clear tails just ruin it IMO

yea, i still have the stock ones, been debating wether i should put them on or not. Surprisingly, they don not leak like all the other ones, and they are the JDm black, not chrome. from the side they look like the new RX-8 ones, i really dont mind them, but i understand your point of view, since i own my own shop and those are some of the things we sell, i need to sorta adverise them, but i think they look better than stock, and you dont see them everyday...actually i have yet to see any with them at all(maybe its for a reason). I think the chrome would look horrible, but the black (what i have i really like) makes the car look a little newer, kinda like the rx-8
Just personal preference, but yes the stock ones are pretty kick ***, i like them alot too!
with the new hyperblack Truxtons (will post pics soon) they look alot better.

No offense, but you're not going to make a lot of friends on this board with Altezzas and unpainted Carbon body parts.

Otherwise, nice car. I used to have an automatic and now drive a 5spd. MAJOR difference is all I'll say. Good luck, I'd imagine with the right mods and a good launch you could break into the 12's in the car.

And IMO, if you own a shop there is no reason to advertise riceyness. I would much rather see that the person who works at the shop i take my car to has taste, rather than just sticking as many parts as they can on their own cars. Unless you make the parts there is no reason to advertise ugly things.

On another note, if the engine is still stock you will probably have to do a full vaccum hose replacement very soon. The old vaccum hoses crack causing all kinds of strange things to happen haha...

Last but not least, when using this forum, SEARCH FIRST before posting any questions!! If you have a question that is new we will gladly answer it, but please don't post any threads like "Whats involved with the hose replacement" or "My boost is weird, what's wrong?" because things like that have been covered 10000 times.

Welcome to the boards!

Definitely congrats ont he car. Keep your altezzas (bare with me while I finish this) and send your stockers off for that jspec conversion that people are doing. Then take your altezzas out, grab a baseball bat, and smash em to hell . when you're done, pour gasoline on it and set em ablaze. Make sure you do this in a safe place where nothing else will catch fire, and don't breathe the fumes, altezza fumes are toxic.

Anyways, on another note, car looks good, welcome to the forum. I'm selling my rx7 right now so i may be incognito for a few months until I buy another . Definitely read the faqs first so you don't get drilled and don't ask stupid questions.

Welcome dude!! As you see, most people on the board don't like altezzas tailights, myself included. You'll get a lot of people on the board telling you what you should get and how to spend your money, just let the haters hate and do your thing, but get rid of those ****** TAILIGHTS !!

Nice car! But you need to be more enthusiastic about it. It's an FD for crying out loud, it's a whole different ballpark now.

LOL, thanks for all the reponses, I tried to do a decent amount of reasearch, b4 i posted. I read all the how to's you guys recomended a few days before you registered so i wouldn't bore you guys with redundant questions. As for the tailights, the stock ones are kick ***, the altezza's or different some poeple like them others dont, i dont really mind. I am not all that into the FD spirit deal, i just want to get it fast and reliable. I already did all the "reliability mods" especially the vacumm lines, only problem now it that i have a boost problem, only goes to 5 psi, i believe the first turbo is either disconnected at the wastegate or a turbo could ba bad, is this common with 89,000 miles? I dont think so but I guess it depends if the owner before me raped it or not, and if he took care of it.
Thanks for the comments guys i really appreciate it, I know how tailights can stir people to scream ricey, i now they are but i will try them out for a bit, see how the shows go this summer, and take them off if nobody likes them. For some reason all of the FD owners dont like them, but the other people non FD owners think they look good. Oh well, enought about the ricey tailights, i wanna start learning!!!

Thanks for the feedback.

oh, BTW my wheels fit fine with no rubbing at all, and plenty of clearance, is your car lowered, otherwise it shouldn't rub at all. Mine fit good, i will post pics soon.

From: Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.
Ugh, I don't think there's any other group of people on the planet more judgemental and opinionated than "car people".

It's your car, do what you want with it. You don't have to defend the Altezzas to anyone, especially if you sell those in your shop and you're advertising. Sounds like shrewd business sense to me. As much as RX7Club might absolutely hate to admit it, people DO buy that stuff.

ok, well, how about tacky? or ugly? nasty? degrading of the intended design of the car? does any of that do a better job than the word ricey? because, when it comes to the altezzas, they all apply.
