New to 3rd gen rx7

Hey guys i had a honda for the past 5 years


Now im ready for a real car i have 94fd and im looking for a motor i found one.
they told me the compresion test was 95/95/100/25/25/100
are theses numbers good??please post i will be picking it up tomorrow.also i will be running a single turbo hks t04z

I called the place and he said they have not pu new oil in a bit of time so thoses numbers could go up.so 25/25 is no good?????they want $1285.00 is this a good price..no tranny

it should be running aroun 100...... 25 deffinatly isnt gna cut it...... forget about it.... its blown

1285 for a tranny or for the whole car. Motor is toast....this car wasn't running or you weren't able to drive it were you.

the lowest it can be is 85 psi
if its lower than that means that the engine is nearly dead

Bunch of idiots, putting new oil in it will not make a rotary up compression. Don't ever bring it back to these guys, they don't know what they are talking about. Its not a piston engine! That engine is toast, there is nothing you can do, it will need to be rebuilt or replaced. Rebuild is over 3000 on the cheap but, can easily climb to double. I would keep looking if I were you, keep driving the Honda for a while until you educate yourself a little more. I have had an FD for 5 years and still don't understand everything and I'm on this site every day reading. If I knew what I did now I would not have purchased mine so quickly but, I got lucky, my engine did not need replacing cause it was taken car of. When you know more about these cars then make your choice, you will not regret it. Good luck to you. Education is one of your best defences. later,

thanks guys i just othoner engine place in nj and they have a 1 in stck but the compression is 60 across the board they told me the same thing 'we have not turn the ngine on in while so its has low compression. is it worth he risk to get it
