Need your advice on buying an RX7
By stock, do you mean it has the stock exhaust system? If so, then you are almost definitely looking at an immediate rebuild after the purchase. Look hard at the condition of the engine and boost pressures. Good luck.
I agree with rx7ofmine. It seems that a lot of the cars that are in that milage range lose the engine. Mine went at 89,000. I've seen a lot of ohters that went a little sooner of a little later. It's a big bill to get that fixed. Mine damaged the turbos too.

Thanks Rx7ofmine, I appreciate your advice. The car that I looking at is in San Diego California and Im over in Washington. From what the owner of the car said, the car runs like new. If the engine is about to go soon, are there some obvious signs that can be detected?
Yes, the car has the stock exhausts. Everything is stock. Its the mileage of the car, 90k, that scares me.

I think I saw that car on Auto Trader.com. If it is the red R1 with only the exhaust changed for $14,888 it is the same one. I was thinking of buying it but the mileage scared me away. At least for that price. My engine an turbos cost $7,600+ to replace at Tri Point.
