If you are looking for a different exhaust than the stock, with good flow but still quiet there are really only two choices: Racing Beat Dual Tip & M2 Dual Tip.

Single tips are pretty loud in comparison.

Thanks for the sugestion but I realy like a really big single exhaust. Can you tell me if it is worth the money to go with a Kakimoto or should I go with something like a Blitz or a HKS.

Apparently, the Kakimoto is one of the loudest exhausts you can get. Jason (at the RX-7 Store) had a post about the various exhaust and he rated the sound of the Blitz near the bottom. However, sound is always subjective. Any of them are going to be much louder than the stock on unless you stick with the dual tip design.

Why not go with the Racing Beat single tip?

Well, there is no such thing as a "really big single exhaust that is not going to 'wake up your girlfreinds parents' ".

However, for the money, the Blitz exhaust & HKS Hiper are two of the best bang for the buck. They are both inexpensive and provide very good performance.

Also I heard the Kakimoto exhausts comes with a silencer. Does the silencer do anything to lower to noise level?

If you have no current mods, then I think you should first get a downpipe, then get a boost gauge, and finally eliminate the AST.

spoolin1012: Check the newbie links. It's a good idea to do the "reliability mods" first (good news - a downpipe is a reliability mod but also adds hp).

Yo, thanks for all your sugestions but today i ran into a little problem. On the way back from school i was running it hard and it startted to over heat, so i did the smart thing "pulled over". When i got out of my car there was a coolent all over the floor and smoke comming not from the engine but from somewere under the intake, and around the turbo's. I'm kind of worried because I dont want to spend all my money on fixing the car. What do you think that this problem is. I have to fix my car before I could buy an exhausts. "Dont you think"
Thanks for all you help.
