Cool, moving on...

Bottom line, Kevin is just being a dick... period.

What I was thinking of was offering people the real ASP Medium or Large IC duct with seal and cast pipe that works with the air pump for 300-400, I mentioned this 14 posts above. If people are willing to take the chance on the SSautochrome core (that whole package is less than half of MY COST for just the core) then I might be willing to save others the time of having to make a duct etc.

With that in mind and just playing with numbers I'll do the package for $345 for anyone that wants it plus whatever Fedex charges to box and ship, just don't ask me for any support with your SS autochrome stuff. I'd also still caution people to think twice about using one of those cores, debris or bad seam/weld could cost you a motor and or set of turbos.

Then comes back with...

I think I've already responded to all private messages and the one email about this but I decided not to follow through on the offer above, sorry for the wasted time of those that wanted to buy the duct/tube deal. The two reasons I changed my mind were, A. Might damage the reputation of my IC's since people might assume the core etc. also come from me and B. It isn't fair to those paying for the real kit.

His A. = because there is nothing on the duct or pipe that states it's ASP so how could it damage the reputation or anyone assume the core came from him?

His B. = because if it is truly worth the cost, no one should care if someone else paid a third the amount for an item of lesser quality. Replica parts are floating around EVERYWHERE and there are vendors here that make them (Chuck), and for the ones buying the real parts, no one is crying unfair about those.

Do you have a legend for the log column headers? Are “WtrT(C)” and “AirT(C)” equivalent to intake temp and ambient temp, respectively?

Regarding whether your tests will satisfy everyone, you already know the answer. Personally, I would want to see the type of test I referred to earlier, because I don't believe that these short runs put much stress on the system that you are logging. Others will have their own goals.

For your purposes, all you should need to test is some sort of typical worst-case scenarios. From your comments, it sounds like 1/4 mile or Deals Gap runs in hot weather would suffice. Within those parameters, if you achieve the IC performance goals you were looking for, then it seems to me that you should be satisfied as long as you have improved performance over the stock IC.

If the person bought the kit from me and they had an accident I would sell them a duct.

I'm really sorry you don't approve of how I do things. I'll work extra hard to make things easier for people to make low quality copies of them in the future. At least the guy that was selling the home made ducts for the medium IC copy did his own design that was a little different.

"WtrT(C)" = Water temp. (Celcius)
"AirT(C)" = Air intake temp. (Celcius)
"AIRT" = air temp sensor Voltage. (You will notice that the lower the voltage, the warmer the temp. I actually look at this value when checking air temps in this log. It changes more frequently and with more precission than the *C number.)

The best I can do until next years deals gap would be the 1/4 mile test tomorrow. I WILL run out 4th gear. I would think this will be sufficient until deals gap. The car will not be moving when I start the run. It will most likely get heat soaked while sitting in the staging lanes. I will be making many passes and will post them up in a progressive order so you can see how it performs from the 1st run to the last. I will have a weather box...or whatever you call it to measure the correct temperature, humidity, and a bunch of other readings.

BTW, these logs are WITHOUT the seal from the duct to IC.
