Need some quick help for a 48 hr decision

Should I go for a 93 Touring w/ 100,000 miles and is on a 3,000km rebuild w/ 3mm apex's upgraded intercooler, Blitz Titanium exhaust

or

helinni's car(on this forum)
A competition yellow 93 base model with the R1 upgrades that is at 100,000kms(or 62500miles) that hasnt had a rebuild and the body is in a little better shape...

first fd is 16000CAD and helinni's is 18000CAD or like 12500 and 14300 USD

thanks for the help[

CYM all the way! Especially if it is in better condition.
edit: I can read, I think. Both are base/touring models, just pick the one in better condition.

More details. What do you want it for? Do you want to build the car up? Are you looking for a "racecar" or a weekend cruiser?

go with the car that is in better condition...forget about the one just because it has a "rebuilt" motor...i'd rather replace the motor than buy one that has been replaced, at least you know 100% what is being put in there, how it was taken care of and where it is from.

That's 37500 miles difference. I have mine at 64,000 miles and the engine stills runs strong. I'll go with the lower mileage and better condition. Have it go through a compression check. That will tell you more about the engine.

Pick the car that is in better shape, especially if it is yellow.

Unhappy wow i wasnt expecting that

The way I was thinking about it is that I like the idea of a touring more..... Sunroof is big too me. Also in my head i should prefer a fresh rebuild to a motor that I am scared I am gonna rebuild also the CYM is more expensive by two grand than the touring so If I gotta do a rebuild too expensive for me.....

I wanna use this car ultra rarely and keep it long time. Maybe late night when I'm feeling for excitement but it will be garaged and I plan A pettit intercooler (the big one) Apexi Intake, HKS BOV's and esthetic makeover. For the difference in the two prices I could afford a rebuild on the engine, a turbo kit, or all the engine parts im looking at.......

So im really stuck plus I hate CYM and am gonna paint the car asap if I get it.

Don't buy the CYM if you're going to paint over it. Let someone else have it. Go with the touring. Fresh engine and it's cheaper.

I agree 100% with the former, but not at all with the latter.

Why do people nut themselves over freaking yellow? It's no more than another color.

It's not just the fact of it being yellow, it's the fact of it being "rare." Kind of like the silver with red interior FD's, I wouldn't wan't to swap out the interior for the simple fact that it's rare.

A rare car??? They made TONS of R1s in '93.

If Mazda painted 350 R1s Chaste White in '93 and that was it, people would be getting a hard-on over those too.

Anyway, do the Canucks up north give as much of a **** about CYM Base cars as they do CYM R1s down here?

I basicvally just wanna know that i am not an idiot for wanting the red touring caus personally it has the R upgrades but it is still a base model seats etc.

How does the sunroof open on the 93's does it even flow air in and let light in or its a wannabe? That might drastically change my mind.....

many thanks

I'm speaking of the CYM's. They didn't make alot of CYM FD's.

Thats what i'm talking about. It's just the simple fact of the CYM being rare, not exactly just the color.
