Need Recommendation - Synthetic or Regular Oil?

Hi Guys,

What do most of you guys use for motor oil? Synthetic or just regular Motor Oil? I recall someone telling me to only use regular oil for the FD Turbocharged Engine. Which I don't understand why, because I've owned turbocharged cars before and have always used Mobil 1 Synthetic Motor Oil.

All responses and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I don't want to be impolite, but this has been covered ad nauseum. Please do a search on this subject. There are lots of threads, and there are lots of opinions, but no definitive answers.

Thanks "Guitarjunkie28",

I'm a newbie to the RX7 world. What's "Dino" oil and "OMP?"

Dino oil == conventional oils (non-synthetic)
OMP = Oil Metering Pump (sometimes called MOP)

complex subject simplified:

you... use castrol gtx. 20/50 in the summer and 10/40 in the winter.

if you want to get deeper than that, pop a few valium as a concentration aid, and read the 9000 threads on it.
