Need Quick Verification...

Is the BAC valve (bypass air control) the same thing as the ISC valve (idle speed control)? Also, is a BOP (block off plate) required on the UIM (upper intake manifold) for the air tube coming from the catalytic converter? Thanks.

I'm not certain the 3rd gens use the acronym BAC. It does have a device called the Air Bypass Valve (F-77 service manual). The idle speed control valve is located at the back of the UIM. If I recall correctly, it has a white connector (page F-83 of the service manual).

What about the BOP for the cat pipe? Anyone?

I thought that BOP was on the upper part of the LIM. I believe I put a BOP on mine when I removed my cat.
