Need pics of ECU harness and plugs

Guys

I've been having some really wierd issues with this FD and I was looking at the ecu and its plugs and noticed 2 of the black plugs (that set above the ecu) are interchangeable. I swapped them and the car idled flawlessly, shifted into gear (while resting) with no bog in idle (its an auto). Everything was going great until I took it out to drive it. The car isnt shifting really, its really boggish, and I know its not using 1st gear. It wasnt doing this before i switched the black plugs, so I have no clue whats going on. Can someone please post a pic or two, or at least explain which harnesses go where on th damn ecu and black box

Awesome

Thats what I needed. Interestingly enough, the bottem left hand black plug, swapped with the topmost black plug.....the car ran amazingly better, it just wasnt shifting correctly. Any idea why?

There is also a SINGLE black clip, hanging out behind teh ECU coming out of the harness. I cant find where it goes ANYWHERE. Is it supposed to just be hanging?

No, That's a test plug for the fan switch (the one Mazda did a recall on). It doesn't go anywhere (of course you can ground it and test to see if your fans work properly).

Regarding your other post, I have no idea. Try switching it back to see if works (the tranny shifting properly). You may have a bad tranny computer, although I never heard of them going out before.

Sorry I couldn't be more help on that one, sounds like a little investegation is going to required .

Good luck!

Haha

a little investigation? I've been battling this for almost 3 weeks now, following the install of an atkins block. I dont know what the deal is with the tranny. Even when it was shifting properly, it wasnt going into 4gr/OD. 65mph or so = 3500rpms
