need a pic of the pri/sec fuel rail

I'm basically looking for a diagram of the stock fuel system so I can figure out where to install an aftermarket FPR on the stock rails. If anybody has done this or has a diagram please let me know.

Thanks,

Chris C.

your best bet is to route the FPR further down line away from the rails. its so cluttered up there. putting something else there to be taken off when you go in there would only make you wish you had mounted it elsewhere. id move it to a more accessible, yet out of the way, position.

I have mine bolted to the tabs that the pre-cotrol and wastegate control solenoids were.(i'm single turbo) You may run into problems with the secondary rail. you have to tap the end where the old FPR WAS. Run a fuel from the reg. to that end.(This is how my set-up is.XS enginerring did the fuel mods and tuning.) I can e-mail you pics of mine if you like.(i'm rebuilding the engine now so everything is open to pics!!) Again I have a single set-up so I'm not sure the methods are the same! Although i don't see why they would change. Good luck and let me know if you want pics.

Based on what you have said it sounds like you are using a stock primary and seconday rail. What size injectors are you using? I have decided to go with 4 850s. Apparently you can make them fit in the primary rail one of two ways: (1) with extra o-rings (2) grinding down the rail an 1/8th inch. I still haven't decided which route to go but I am leaning towards the o-rings. I have spoken to a couple people that have done it this way without any problems.

I'll go take some good ones now. I THINK i have 850's on the prim. and 1600's on the sec. I say i think because i just looked at mine and another Fd's that i'm working on and they look identical. Red tops. I PAID for 850's and 1600's hope i GOT them!!Haha!?? Anyone know the color codes for injectors?
