need a oil drain plug

well i need a new drain bolt or w/e it is, and was wondering if they are anything special or something i can get at pepboys.

go to automotive store, bolts are pretty universal. I found one for my FD at Pep Boys, in their misc autoparts section. The one for random stuff like fuses, common bolts, etc.

The oem drain plug was designed by Mazda engineers to provide 2 extra hp over aftermarket drain plugs. Your car will be slower with an aftermarket plug.

aw man i think i will sacrafic the 2 hp, i called ray at malloy and he said cheapest he could let one go was $30, you know how expensive these Mazda parts are,

hope no one takes these comments seriously.

just don't use the plastic crush washers that the autozone ones come with sometimes

because they can easily be overtorqued and fail. they don't use a plastic washer from the factory for a reason
