Need info on this ABS unit

Recently came across this abs unit.
Unfortunately I can't find info on the year or type (hydraulic, 3 solenoids, etc) or additional information on it. I've searched and came across info on the evolution of the abs pumps from 93-95 but nothing that matches this.

Part number listed is FD123 43 7A0.
Anyone recognize this abs?

This is a post '95 model pre '99 based on the F123 designation. Last US cars were F114 w/ a few F123 suspension parts first '99 cars F138;

I would guess F123 is JDM '95 as US '95's used some rear suspension parts from F123 lower arms and rear sway bar for the soft suspension. Prior '94 used the same harder parts for both R2 package na dstandard model. F123 value was also used in '95 ABS system but pump itself was FD31-43-7A0A or B, leads me to belive that your F123 is a LHD mount version of same.

Thanks Julian.

I was thinking it was the newer versions and noticed the proportion valve is on the other side.
I'm guessing this unit also utilizes a different abs computer.

from the above I would suspect it is the same ABS computer; dont think that changed until the 4 wheel control '99 units

Then can this be utilized on a 93 car? Seems the valve can be moved - bolt holes on both sides - but I would think new lines would need to be run.

Good info. Anyone think we should add this to the FAQ and Archives?

ABS controller changed in 95---this will need to be updated if you plan on using a 95 or later ABS module in a 93 car.

So do we have consensus that this abs unit is a 95? I have looked through several service manuals and can't reference the part number.

I think Julian makes a good arguement that it is the 95 JDM equivalent to US based on the part numbers---however you can't be sure until that is confirmed by someone with access to the JDM P/N history.

I know you don't want to hear it, but you're better off trying to find a good 93/94 pump to use instead of using what you got. At a minimum you're going to have to run new brake lines and replace the controller. If the connector pin-outs are different, I'd be worried about the wiring harness as well.

Yes it changed in 95 I gave the PN; and in japan too, only big performance change was in S8 series.

And yes i agree why both using the f123, for what its a JDM headache for no performance gain

Thanks for all the feedback. The unit is reportedly from an 94 vehicle so it threw me for a loop.
