Need help with weird stuff in the engine bay

What does this do?

What is this here for? (try to imagine its still bolted to the car)

Do all 4 of these just control fan speed?

that first pic is youre PCLVSA ( pre-control lateral ventilation system acuator )
This allows your turbos to breath a little better in cold weather but depending where you live and the average ambient temps you may not need it.

In the second is the AEWS ( aggesv early warning system ) when the activates it lets you know that the fornt wheel sensors are overlaoding due to over or under steer by flashing a greeny reddy yellow bluish light on youre dash , DONT UNPLUG THIS!!

Yes I'm sure in the 3rd pic they control fans and headlights

First pic is Fuel Pump Resistor. This switche voltage from 9v (idle, cruise) to 12V (higher load)

Serious answer time...

First pic is the fuel pump resistor relay. This is a resistor pack - it runs the fuel pump at 9v at low load/idle, and 12v at full load.

Second is just a relay - not sure what it controls, but it's most likely a Good Thing.

Third, yes those are all fan relays. The fans can be run at 3 different speeds, and the relays switch on appropriately to get those speeds.

Those allow you to toggle the headlights if the motors fail.

Thanks for the help guys!

So can I eliminate all 4 of those fan relays if I run the fan on an seperatly wired on/off switch? Also, how do I eliminate that resistor so I can run it at 12v constant?

Read here:

You would need 8 gauge wire to be safe at 30A, and you'd need to find a switch that can handle 30A. That's not the sort of thing you'll be able to buy at RadioShack. If the fan blades ever get stuck, it will draw even more current, so you'd better have a 30-40A fuse in there as well, to prevent the wires from catching fire.
