need help pulling off turbos
hey everyone, i was goin to port my own wastegate because i just got a full exhaust done... anybody have a link to a how-to with alot of pics? i have never taken off the turbos or ported a wastegate... is it hard to do? or is it just time consuming? any input would be greatly appreciated.....oh btw... i already searched the forum and only found info on how to port but not the removal of the turbos.... thanks in advance

Try searching for 'pull turbos'.
I've done it a couple times. I remove all the intake stuff, y-pipe, then the downpipe. Since I work alone, I also remove the wastegate and precontrol actuators to make it easier to lift out. Then I remove the coolant lines, oil lines, and turbo bolts. After unthreading the last manifold bolt from the top, I lift it straight out.

do u recommend me trying it or paying ricks rotary to do it? it doesnt seem to hard but i dont wanna get in way over my head..
