Need help with OMP

Hi,

Im a new owner of Rx7, fd3s in Thailand and still confuse with OMP sensor in PFC. I know that OMP is the oil pump that lubricate seals by injecting oil into it. However, the way to check OMP still works or not is the sensors check screen by using power fc commander, and if it highlighted, it means it is fail, but if the volt running along with my acceleration (no highlighted), it means good. However, my car has these both condition.

My VMOP says 1.34 with key ON, no highlighted. After I start the car up and drive it, my VMOP goes along my acceleration but the volt is swing back and forth between 1.34 and (higher volt depends on my throttle.) When the volt goes higher than 1.34, it will be highlighted. To clearly explain, when I press the throttle, the VMOP goes higher with my throttle, but it is highlighted, so I really dont know this means it works or not.

I’ve tried to search along many threads from rx7club.com, but did not found what I’m looking for.

Or maybe I’ve found it, but misunderstand the content as I’m not good in English. So could you please tell me what exactly happen to me.

Thank you very much.

You have power fc.... unplug the omp and premix. No need to troubleshoot it

I just tried it out on my car. I was getting about 1.25 volts in the sensor check screen with the car off, key on. I started the car and revved the car up (it's in the garage and I didn't feel like moving cars around to drive it ) and got up to 1.60 volts and no reverse highlight.

Could be the OMP is failing. Short term I would add some premix, long term look at getting a good used OMP.
