Question Need Help OIL COOLERS!

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME PICK OUT AN OIL COOLER SET UP? A LITTLE WHILE BACK I SAW A TWIN COOLER SET UP FROM GREDDY UNDER (PARTS FROM JAPAN) OVER AT ROTARY EXTREME I THINK, BUT IT IS NO LONGER LISTED AT THAT SITE, AND I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT ANY PLACE ELSE SINCE. DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THIS SET UP? OR DO U KNOW OF ANOTHER THAT WOULD WORK WELL? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Basically, there are only two kits (state side) that you can pick from:

http://www.rotaryextreme.com/oilcooler.html

or

http://www.crookedwillow.com/oilcool.htm

What application are you needing updated oil coolers for (what type of driving)?

If you have a touring another option is to get a used secondary oil cooler off an R1/R2. You'll see them on the 'for sale' section.

I am selling a complete low mileage (26K) R2 oil cooler set currently. That will be the easiest installation by far. I put a CWR set on, and there is also Chuck's (rotaryextreme) set. Those are going to be cheaper options than Greddy or Mazdaspeed.

Do you know the specs on the GReddy cooler you are looking at? I'm not seeing an application for an RX-7:

http://www.greddy.com/prod_oil_cooler_kits.htm

Also, the stock unit is a 11 row cooler. Without knowing the exact size of their core, but they only have a 16 row for their largest size. If performance is what you are after, RE has a 25 and 34 row and the CWR is a 19 row.

Don't buy something just because of the name. Make sure it's really and "upgrade".

Damn, take off the caps lock.
You're killing me.
Does the crooked cooler fit without some fabing?

The Crooked Willow kit fits without any fabrication - that's what you're paying Duane to do - the parts cost less than half the price of the kit.

However, be forewarned - everyone I know of (at least recently) has had very long delivery times. I paid for my kit 2 months ago, and I so far have only the brackets, oil lines, and one air duct and cooler. The other cooler is "on the way," but not clear if I'll ever get the other duct.
