Need help. new motor won't start

O.K. I got my motor in. Pulled the plugs, cranked it to build oil pressure and blow out any **** inside, shot some ATF in to help compression, primed the fuel system, and tried to start it. Just cranks....no start. So I swapped the plugs for new ones Checked all connections and still nothing...

1. Fans run as soon as battery is hooked up...won't turn
off
2. Inside cabin there are 3 yellow connectors for
computer, 1 white connector and
1 blue one. The blue connector on the old harness is
a 10 pin with 10 wires, the
new connector is 12 pin with 11 wires. WHAT IS THIS
CONNECTOR FOR AND
HOW CAN I MAKE IT WORK? Will that make the car
not start? I USED A JSPEC
HARNESS BTW....

I checked:

-CAS is plugged in correctly. Swapped CAS a known
good one
-Checked spark with spark tester
-Fuel lines appear to be hooked up correctly. Not
binding, looks right. Tried swapping them, didn't help
any
-I'm getting fuel pressure from the pump
-All plugs on engine side of harness are plugged in
-Ground on drivers side battery harness is tight
-2 Grounds under UIM are tight
-Injectors are all plugged in
-Temp sensor is plugged in

Everything looks right, it just will not start. Am I on the right track with the blue connector thing? Do i need to start checking continuity between the injectors, CAS, TPS, etc... and computer?

ANY IDEAS?

Man, I feel for you. THat is the worse feeling, hours and hours of work pulling the motor, installing parts, spending large sums of money, re-installing the engine and the ******* thing won't start. That was my WORST

NIGHTMARE. Fortunately for me, mine started on first crank but then I used the US spec NEW wiring harness from Malloy. Who knows what they do in Japan so I would suspect the harness. The fact that the fan is on sounds like you got a short to the ECU.

The blue connector from the US harness has to be cut off and soldiered to the j-spec harness to make it work. Cut the extra wire.

Well I saved $500 on a harness and probably $1000 on the r&r. I'll take a little frustration and busted knuckles to save $1500 any time. Besides the fact that I work on cars all day long, and have access to everyhting I need.
