Do you have any oil leaking onto the ground when the car is parked?

You might check the oil return lines to the turbos. Those tend to give out and leak. When mine did, excess oil was being burned and smoke was coming up from the hood.

If that's where the leak is, it's not a huge problem. The parts are cheap, but the labor can be pricey if you are getting charged for it.

I'd like to know what "oil tank" your talking about? Are you talking about the dipstick/oil pan?

check all the turbo lines and the actual turbo seals themselves as listed above. befor I broke my car down I could smell oil and se a light, light haise if at a long red light. My problem was that the seal on teh number two turbo was beginning to leak adn it was landing on the exhaust pipes!!!

good luck, joe

OK. The white "mixture" you are seeing is actually a little water and oil mixed. It is NO BIG DEAL if it is just a little residue on the under side of the cap.

You can't see oil and gas mixed, the gas dissolves into the oil perfectly. You might be smelling gas in your oil, that is pretty typical on turbo'd rotaries.
