Difficult starting
I'm currently having a tough time getting my car started, and was hoping a few of you guys could help me out.
Here's my original thread if you want to read it (kind of long).

but in case you don't want to read it, here's the basic scenario of what's going on.
A few weeks ago, i had a problem with some electrical stuff as well as my fuel pump. A couple days ago, i finally got around to fixing them. While trying to get it running again, i accidently flooded it. Did the de-flooding procedures and the car started up fine, but idle was extremely high (~2000-2500 RPM). Tried to blip the throttle to bring the idle back down, but it just stayed right at 2000 RPM. The car also started getting really hot. I noticed that I had a small coolant leak, so I shut it down. The coolant leak is now fixed.
Went back the next day, and the car didn't want to start. Here are the symptoms that I have:
- Good battery
- Cranks normally, so I don't think its a starter problem
- Engine catches a bit (like it's about to start), but then it just stumbles and dies. When it flooded before, the engine just spun and spun, so it doesn't sound like its flooded to me.
- But just in case, i pulled the spark plugs. They seem pretty dry. Again, i don't think its flooded
- I have spark on all 4 plugs. It does seem a little weak, but its hard to tell.
So right now, I'm thinking too much air, or not enough fuel.
Maybe this starting problem is related to the extremley high idle aI had just a day before?? Maybe I have an intake leak in the UIM or LIM?
Any other thoughts? am I on the right track? Thanks
Rob

I'm a CF and poop smith
compression? i doubt its too much air, perhaps you should check the flow or duty cycle on your injectors.
if your idle is too high, might be due to the idle set screw
