Exclamation need help: miata fand mod

I'm about to start hacking away at the plastic on the miata fan switch plug to get it to fit the plug on the car, but before I do I want to know what you guys did to overcome this plug difference.

Any experience or photo you had with it will help ALOT.
Any other piece I need to make this mod work?

Also, if you knwo a good how to, please direct me.

Thanks

Don't Hack It!

You have to replace the FD connector with the Miata connector. It is also available on the 90's Ford Probe. Take your Miata thermoswitch to the wrecking yard and find a Ford Probe. Then just look for the connector that fits the thermoswitch. It's a single wire, just cut it and replace the FD connector with this connector.

I just cut the stock plug from my harness and crimped on a mini spade connector that fits tightly on the Miata part. It's only a single wire and hold tightly.

Of course what Jonesboro says is even better, but I hate trolling through junkyards
