Need help installing cd player in touring model/ bose
I'm a little stuck removed the stock Bose head unit this week. Installed a single din cd player pioneer and have no sound what so ever. I purchased harness plugs and color matched everything to ease installation. The head unit turns on but no sound. I'm not sure if I need to buy something to trigger the Bose system on. After the installation I noticed two antenna cables that where not hooked up due to incompatibility with my new unit. Also a ground that I'm not sure if it needs to be connected. If anyone has experienced with this please chime on this thanks....
you can't just hook it up directly, the bose have a different poser level feed and you need to add adapters in between to change the output. I had this in place years ago and think I paid about $15 each for them. There was wiring instructions included. I would send you mine, but I threw them out when I went all alpine.
You can reuse the bose enclosures with other speakers. I have two small alpines in the door, 5 1/2's in the A pillars and a alpine amp pushing the sub in the back. I kept the bose wave and put in a couple 10" poly subs from radio shack. They aim at each other and you just have to make sure to reverse their polarity. My touring had pockets in the A pillars, but I got a couple grills from a base. It is more cost to switch over, but it sounds sooo much better.

Ok, you said adapters what exactly do I need to buy to make this functional. I'm just trying to make the factory stuff work. The less modification the better as I'm not too picky about audio just want play cds lol.
the bose speakers have an individual amp it is very likely that you didn't connect the sense line and thus the amp in not receiving a signal to turn on.
danewbern is correct as well. The bose system works on a 1ohm system not a 75.
Im on my phone so I cant do it for you but search under my name on the audio section. Many years ago I drew a diagram for a fellow member where I listed all the connections and components for my bose speakers to aftermarket radio setup.

Take a look at the diagram in the thread below. I remember adding an amp-on power wire. Take a look at 1J, and see if you have a wire in place with your harness. If not, just go buy and extra harness and remove one of the wires from it and plug it in. Or fab up a wire with connectors. Then use the blue/white remote amp on from your HU.

Here ya go:
In my setup I had an aftermarker radio with aftermarket speakers to which I added the bose wave tube.
