Red face Need help in finding replacement for exhaust manifold insulator/ heat shield

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to know what is a good replacement parts for 93 rx7 exhaust manifold insulator/ heat shield? My current ones are rusted out and can't be reused. I was thinking of using this Thermo-Tec Kevlar Heat Barrier from this site: http://www.jegs.com/i/Thermo-Tec/893/16850/10002/-1. If you guys have better suggestions for replacement parts. I'm wanted to hear you guys out. Thanks

They are stupid expensive.

Another option is to take the rusty ones and fab replacements out of stainless sheet metal.

What's "stupid expensive"? I have one, but might need another.

I don't recall exact prices, but I think the 3 pieces that surround the turbos would cost about $100 each.

Have you considered getting the exhaust manifold ceramic coated?
