If you have those codes, the car is going to run like crap:

9 Water thermosensor
11 Intake air thermosensor (engine)

What's the history? Did you just put a new engine in? Did the car just start having this problem out of the blue?

The water thermosensor is on the back side of the water pump housing (top sensor). The intake air thermosensor is under the UIM. Have you verified the sensors are connected?

Seems more like you have an issue with your emissions harness. Unplug and reattach the plugs for both sensors. Then clear the ECU codes by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for 30 seconds. After that, start the car and see what happens. See if you get the same codes again.

Then replace both sensors. Not sure about the water thermosensor, but a bad IAT will make the car run really rich. I don't think either are particularly expensive...maybe $50 each. And unless there's something else going on that you haven't mentioned, don't listen to whoever recommended replacing the ECU.

Just the thermosensor? What about the IAT?

Well good luck with that. Maybe it was just a transient code...maybe. But IIRC when my IAT started failing I was able to clear the code once or twice, but it eventually came back.

If you do have to eventually replace it, consider re-locating it upstream from the T-body. It's not complicated and probably much safer but it does have a little downside in cooler weather with the stock ECU. Do a search for more info. Again, glad you got it up and going.
