hi, i just got my 1993 rx-7 early july and it runs fine and everything, but eversince i got this car i've had a small coolant leak. it's not coming from the radiator, but a connection that is located below left of of a sensor sender (not sure what sensor is, but the sensor is directly below the oil filter) and it's to the right of the leading and trailing plugs. you will know what i am talking about if you are looking down from the driver's side fender with the intake elbow off. anyways i thought the coolant hose was cracked due to how old it was so i removed it and found out it wasn't it either. i found out that there was a crack on the connection end and whenever coolant was running thru it, small amounts (like little drips off a leaky faucet). so i need some one's help identifying the part and how to replace it. i also need the part number if you know it. thanks in advance.

if it is the quick disconnect hose you can cut off the plastic fitting and put a hose clamp over the rubber coolant line.

It's actually more of a "quick connect" than "disconnect". It's supposedly used at the factory to facilitate hooking the engine up. It's a frequent point of failure and shoudl be removed.

To do this remove the hose and then remove the quick connect from the block connection (difficult to do - I had to delicately cut mine off). Then just reclamp the host to the remaining nipple.
