Need to Buy Restirctor Pills for the Turbos - Help

I called my Mazda dealer to try and buy OEM restrictor Pills for the turbos (I only have one) and they told me I would have to buy the whole turbo to get it.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can buy the pills, or know what size the pills are to I can fabricate them?

Are both pills identically sized and carry the same flow?

The pills are not identical.

IIRC all you have to do is buy those two vac hoses and the pills come in them.

According to the parts manual both those hoses are included with part # N3A1-13-ZLY.

That dealer doesn't know what they are talking about, much like my local dealer when I asked them. I just had the same problem last week, I had no precontrol pill. I ended up ordering a set of both hoses with pills already in them from Malloy Mazda, it cost me about $30. The part number for them is: N3A1-13-ZLY

Talk to Ray Crowe if he's there, I think someone said he's on vacation this week though.

A lot of people also use Holley carb jets. Read this thread:

Never tried it myself, but it should work fine.

You can use carburetor jets. I'm not certain of the size but if you call Pettit Racing they can supply you with some and/or tell you the sizes.

Just buy the factory hoses. Trying to mess with the carb jets can be very time consuming.

If you don't have a boost controller, you should get one.

A lot of reasons people have boost problems, is they always try these no-brain schemss of home depot valves, carb jets, custom nick nacks.

Replace it with factory pills. To get them simply order the two vacuum hoses they are incased in. A few people already mentioned the part #.

I myself have ordered these particular vacuum hoses with the pills inside 3 times already, for my old FD, current FD, and Waysho's car.

No need to buy new turbos to get them.
