Need bulb info for bulbs that go behind the temp controls
This is probably up Dale's alley, so hopefully he can help me. One of my small lights went out that goes behind the temp control dials. There's 4 that go in there so I was going to replace all 4 to just get it over with. Took the bulbs out and on the bulb it says S:14V 1.4w. The closest I could find at the parts store was 1.2w of the same size. Anyone know what the part number is for these tiny bulbs and where I can get them. I tried the manual but really couldn't pin point a bulb number for them. And for that matter, what bulb replaces the one that had gone out for the lighted keyhole entry?

This is the list of bulb numbers I have from the Sylvania site. The only one it gives is for the instrument panel but maybe it is the same?

Thanks for the reply. I used that site as well, but it's not one of those. The one that came close was a sylvania 3721 or maybe a 2721 bulb. After plugging in the 1.2 w compared to the 1.4w, I doubt I'll notice a difference. I'll wait a couple more days and wait before I put the dash back in since it's a pain to take out just to swap out the little bulbs. I had gotten new interior dash pieces (94 model for my 93) to get rid of the scratch prone pieces. Just wanted to do it all while I was in there.
What about the lock light? Looks like it's directly wired to the bulb.

The bulbs you probably found were #74 bulbs. That is all that is commonly available to replace them; like you said, you won't see a difference.
The key-light is the same, you will just have to pull hard (but carefully) on the bulb to get it out of the socket - it is very tight

About the key light, I should clarify. I was referring to the light that is right above the door lock, not the ignition light. The one for the door lock seemed to be wired in, ie not a plug type. I appreciate the help with the bulbs, I'll just use the 1.2w bulbs if I can't track a few down at the local Radio Shack tomorrow. I guess I could bend the light wires out and solder them to the wires for the door lock and see if that works.
I also bought a new door lock set since mine had the usual plastic slider (the piece that pushed inward when you inseted the key) busted and looked like crap.
