Um, keep the car out of boost.. be really light on the throttle like grandma..

They don't get THAT bad gas mileage when driven lightly...

Most products they sell are crap! what kinda milage on a tank of gas are you getting?

I get 16 mpg combined highway and city, if I take it easy on the boost. LIke the others said, for better milage stay off the boost. For grinnin' ear to ear fun who cares about mileage Tom

if you cruise on the highway at 50-60mph in 5th gear with cruise control, you should beable to get at least 20mpg although whats the fun in that?

Yes use the Cruise Controll and keep it under 70mph (any higher than that and even the CC will be pulling boost on all the up hill grades) I am able to make 20mpg on the CC - BUT driving around on surface streets/backroads and using 10psi boost at every stop sign and out of every corner I only get about 12-14mpg, and it drops down to about 10mpg on the track (road course)

fuel use

wow max, you got 10 mpg on the track! i got exactly 1/2 that at putnam park (bmw cca school) this spring. i also had pick-up prblms below 2/3 tank in left handers. i had to refuel after every 1/2 hr session. i was hoping someone could help with fuel pick-up suggestions. i haven't looked in the tank yet to see if i have prblms there. thanks.

I just took a long highway trip in my FD, from Mississippi to Pennsylvania and back (about 2200 miles). I averaged about 23 mpg! I didn't believe that an FD was capable of such good gas mileage. Imagine, 360 miles between fillups . I was really worried about how much I'd spend in gas before I took the trip, cuz I get like 10 to 12 mpg around town.

Only drive downhill. Alternatively, only drive with a tailwind. If you can drive downhill with a tailwind you're even better off. Have you tried drafting beer trucks (or beering draft trucks). Or better yet, buy an electric car. But if all else fails, as those of us ancient enough to remember the '70's (the decade not the sitcom) will recall, get a good siphon! You can increase your mpg to say 25, 30, even 100 mpg...if you don't get caught!

Siphon works, just make sure they are filling up with 93 octane.

Keep up to date on maintenance, new plugs and wires if they are old definitely will help. A downpipe will help, some people have also reported better mileage with a PFC but it has to be well tuned. An ignition amp will help compensate for being too rich and help in that case, but if you're trying to squeeze mileage you shouldn't be running too rich .

I've ALWAYS gotten 14-16 city and 20-23 highway. Once got 26 mpg on the highway with a tailwind! Just once!
