need advice, bad wooshing sound

So i'v had my fd for a few weeks now, but havent had much time to drive it recently. I took it out for a spin tonight, but found that when I get into boost it starts to make a strange wooshing sound (around 5psi). also I don't think it was boosting all the way, although i didnt push it after i started hearing the sound so it may be. I took a glance under the hood, but didn't notice anything blindingly obvious. I didn't have time to deal with it tonight but am gona try to check it out tomorrow when I have some time. I was hoping someone might be able to give me some ideas to narrow down my search, or at least some good places to start

Cheers,
Dale

You need to start with the Boost Test before anyone can offer any real help:

Try checking the hose and coupling at the Y pipe and cross over pipe. I solved my 2 year boost leak mystery with the same distinct whooshing sound by doing this.

^Agreed. Check the couplings on all your intake pipes, but that's the most trouble prone.
