Napa Fuel Pulsation Damper?

I just found this one Napas site and wonder if it could outlast the OEM version. Not sure what the OEM one is made of but I've seen too many threads about fires cause of it leaking and wonder since this one is all one piece metal if it could be leak free for much longer.

http://www.napaonline.com/masterpage...sure+Regulator

Anyone ever use it or know about it?

Uh, that's a fuel PRESSURE REGULATOR, not a fuel PULSATION DAMPNER. One raises and lowers fuel pressure (and thus fuel delivery into the engine) based on manifold pressure (this the vacuum nipple) and one simply absorbs the hydraulic vibrations caused by rapidly clicking injectors under pressure.

FPD's dont have a VACUUM NIPPLE on them. FPR's do.

Is a FPD even necessary with an aftermarket FPR (Areomotive)?

I eliminate them all the time, though some on the forum would fill your head so full of hydraulic theory that you'd begin to believe the car would immediately self destruct without it, but that simply isnt the case.

...I have a SARD FPR, which has an internal FPD, your Areomotive may have it internal as well. ....but I ran without a FPD @58PSI fuel pressure for 5+ years without a problem.
