Name this Vaccum Hose

Ok well I can't figure out what this line is for. Its seems to not be connected to anything at the end closest to the front of the car but its connected to 3/4 nipple on intake extender on the passenger side facing the rear of the car.

Ok well I beleave its connected to the Air Control Valve, so this pipe is used for the venting function of the air control valve. Is this correct?

That is for the return air from the air injection system. It normally goes to your air intake box. It is normally recommended that if you don't have the stock air box, you put some filtration on that pipe. It can tap off of your aftermarket air intakes or you can put a small filter right on the hose. However, since this is normally an output or closed, I think it would be safe to leave the end open.

Man, I get to post the same link twice today...

http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id...ntent=62&mnu=5

The hose going alongside the air pump that the arrow is pointing too is the air control valve's relief. Air from the air pump goes to the ACV, where it is directed where it needs to go. When the ACV has more air than it needs, it bleeds off the excess to the relief.

The stock airbox has a muffler in it to quiet the sound - it makes an awful moo sound. Most aftermarket intakes use some giant contraption to muffle it. Go to the link above - I figured out how to make a VERY simple, VERY cheap, and VERY effective "anti-moo" device. You'll thank me for it .

I am buying a 7 with several "open" issues around the intake. See attached picture for details. The green area was discussed in the thread. I know where to go with that. Do I do the same (chair bottom with holes) to the blue vacuum line? What do I do with the 3 red openings in the apexi intake piping?

PS: FYI the car currently moo's and the Pre-Cat has been removed.

I am not trying to figure out why the car moo's. Just want to know what to do about these open area's of vacuum/intake tubing. I just want to make sure nothing breaks or gets damaged or is installed incorrectly.

cap off the the lines on the intakes or plug in all the connections. why do you not already have them pluged in?

Ok, the blue one is the CRV and can be attached to the upper left red connection. The green one is from the ACV and can be attached to the upper right red connection. The final red connection is for the air pump - the one just to the left of the yellow-capped coolant filler neck. It also looks like the ABV (stock bov) which typically attaches to the left side of the bottom air filter is unhooked (not a problem per se, just an observation). Gurus step in if I messed something up. . . .

Thanks for the insight. Much appreciated. I took delivery of the RX7 today and several of the hoses had been properly connected. I will double check once I get back to the garage.

If you have any questions regarding which hoses don't necessarily have to be connected and why you wouldn't connect them just PM me. Either way, the holes in the intake past the filter are letting dirty air through to the turbos/engine so they need a hose or a cap.
