Mystery wires plugs!

I was looking at my car and I found two wire plugs that aren't connected to anything. They are both located directly underneath the spark plugs as you can see in the pics. What are there supposed to go to?!?

My FD currently is not running( https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/car-wont-start-help-401297/ ) , but I had noticed the black wire plug was not connected to anything BEFORE it had stopped running, but just now noticed the white one. Does anybody have an idea of what these could be???

The white one is the oil level sensor.

I don't know what the other one is, looks like it should go to the starter but you already have one on it.

Your car is an auto?

I bet your car has the updated auto tranny starter harness. Here's a copy/paste from my big TSB list -

G00193 JUL 93 Engine - No Start After A Heat Soak
This is for the '93 automatics. The wiring going to the starter can heat soak, bumping the resistance of the wire up and causing the starter not to engage. Mazda released an add-on harness to the starting system harness to fix the problem. You disconnect the small wire going to the starter, unplug a larger connector near the starter, plug the new harness between the two halves of the large connector, and then there's a new small wire going to the starter from the new harness.

Part number for the replacement harness is FDY1 67 SHO.

That harness ends up leaving the original plug hanging out with nothing to plug in to. Jeff's right on the white one - that goes to the oil level sensor on the oil pan.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys. Yep, I have a '93 auto, I bet that is it. Could the oil level sensor coming unplugged be the a partial cause of my car not starting?

The car doesn't care if the sensor is unplugged, but you won't know if your oil level is too low, which is a Bad Thing.
