my whels are to big

My wheels are rubbing in the back a little. I was thinking if I bend the lip up on the inside of the fender that they should clear. I probally would make stress cuts on the lip so I could bend it up without harming the paint on the outside of the fender. Has anyone did this before?

Unless you are running 10.5" or wider wheels, it's not the wheel size that's the problem, it's the offset. What size/offset are you running and what tire size?

I was runnning Falken 275/35 R18 last year and every pebble that i ran over made the tire rub.
I was going to do the metal cutters and aluminum bat thingone day...
but then i never saw any wear on the out sides of the tire.

I cant remember my off set of the wheels but they barely hung on to the lugs..
and just barely cleared the body of the car i couldnt even get a finger inbetween the wheel and the wheel weld.

If you go to the 4th page on my link you can see what will happen if you Drive your FD from Cali to NYC with that setup..

Now i am runnin 245/40 and I cant make it rub even when i try

what kinda wheels you go on yours. ?

As Rynberg mentioned, your offsets could be wrong for the car. You could take your car to a body shop and have them correctly "roll" your rear fenders using a special tool and a heat gun to warm up the paint and make sure it doesn't crack. If you don't want to spring for new wheels...

a 50mm offset is what youd want for a 10" wheel, yours is 15mm too far out, which is causing your problems.

Sorry, shouldnt put ~50. 45 may be ok, but push that out another 10mm like he has, and it is rubbing.

I rolled my fenders with a bat today. They don't rub when I get into full boost now. They do rub a little when I take a curb hard. I think these wheels will work

I had the same problem with 40mm offset 18x10 I rolled them and they are fine it did crack very slighty on the inside where u cant see so i just touched it up with the factory paint. lucky i have some already mixed from when i painted my bumper. The front wheels i got scrape the fender well plastic alittle 18x8.5 with a 42mm offset but only if i hit a dip when im turning at a pretty high speed so it barley ever scapes but if anybody knows how to fix this that would be good and if i can drop the car without taking out the plastic let me know how they did it that would be good to thanks
