Wink My turn to flex... :D

Seems everyone's in a sharing mood so I'll contribute one. Just got these from Mr. UPS today. Me likes.

BTW, if ppl were planning to part w/ a good chunk of change, Guy Ankeny is THE man to call. He's so easy going and is part of the SCCA SEB, preps most of the winning cars, and was the brains behind the TriPoint-all-conquering-ASP-FD3S of yore (suspension-wise). www.ankenyracing.com

I AM SO STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!

good god, it must have cost you a fortune...

what are the coil over on those? Are they ground control? They probably are not but they use about the same setup...

Heheh...as soon as I can get off my lazy **** and do the swap.

Kinda...prolly more that most ppl spend on wheels + tires. I know it costs more than my Racing Harts.

No...you'll be getting the Ground Controls. Why would I swap GC w/ GC? These are full threaded-body coil-overs custom-valved to match the spring rates. The fronts will be stiffer than the Eibachs in my current GC kit and the rears will be softer.

Puma, i gotta remove the current set and clean them...i'm PM ya when I'm ready to ship....K?

ok

well i was saying GC because they seem to use eibach springs like the GC kit.

what is the spring rate, i can't see really well on the pic, is it 650/350?

As soon as you can get me my suspension, it would be nice because i might have a customer for my present setup.

They use Eibach also. The rates are what you mentioned above...compared with GC's recommended 550/450.

I'd like to expediate my suspension swap too....I can't even take it to the shop and have them do it. My UIM + TB is off to TwinTurboTeddy for polishing and my lights are en-route to RX7even for conversion.

Hey...is it easy to take out your front 6.5"? I wanna see the template/bracket used to mount those speakers. Thx.

Are you talking to me? There is nothing hard there, just need to do a little spacer that usually comes with the speakers...

i'll check tonight to see if this is right, my door panel is out anyway.

According to Guy, not necessary. For the type of application I run, the adjustability of slow rebound (or was it fast rebound...or was it jounce ) is not required. It'll prolly give me too many parameters for my feeble brain to deal with.

Besides, these are custom-valved and can be reshimmed during rebuild to the adjustability is really fine tuning cuz the dampers are built to spec.

Can't wait to try them out.

O...going from dubs to trips will cost me an extra $400 per damper!!!!

Are those fully assembled? I don't see any bumpstops. I used 40mm and 55mm rod type from HR.

Lookin good

With the right spring selection, they probably don't need bump stops unless he plans to put his car on the ground.

Truechoice doesn't include bump stops with their shocks unless you specifically ask for them, because the spring selected won't allow the shock to bottom out unless you go with more than a 2" drop in ride height.

Very nice. I'm jealous.

Thx gordon. (btw, read that article bout your car...very nice)

Yeah...i decided to go with Penske over the 2812 cuz it's slightly less dough and Guy Ankeny really knows Solo2. The TrueChoice or ProParts guys were good but didn't really seem to give too much info.

I'll definitely report back after my first event with them...so looking forward to it!
