pull your head outta your ***. why does every FD owner have to point to blue book value... if you like a car you pay what someone is asking, your car is not as superior as you would like to believe as it shares many aspects as the FC does since it was it's father after all and the FB was its grandpa, lol.

When did he say anything about blue book value? I also thought 15-16k for an FC sounded high. It's not because we think the FD is superior, just because you can buy alot of car for 16k.

Exactly.
And correct me if im wrong but EVERYONE uses blue book as reference in buying a car.
Also for 16k, you can get a perfectly running FD.
Why the hell would someone buy an FC for 16k?
Only FC id consider buying for 16k if its in PERFECT condition and had a 20B in it.

i think anyone who knows anything about cars would buy it if it had a 20B in it.
i'm sure the price is high but i'm just tired of the FD owners acting superior, he could have $30k invested and countless hours of labor but you guys will still just consider it 'just' an FC. may be worthless to you but not to every other rotorhead out there who knows the cars potential or what it can already do, the main difference between the FC and FD is the appearance, both cars can be equally quick on and off the track.

small ***** syndrome
The condition which compells men to overcompensate their lack of manhood by overachieving in other areas, owning an FC and bitching about an FD owner's comments, for example.

Seems to me there have been many FCs listed in the classifieds that are in amazing shape, for less than that price. Usually a great FC sells for $8-10K. If he can get more for his then more power to him.
In my opinion, and it is just that MINE, the FD is a step beyond the FC in every single dimension of automotives. Interior design, exterior design, the engine is an engineering step forward, the suspension is a quantum leap ahead...it is a better overall car in every regard if we are comparing apples to apples (a new FD and a new FC). Mods can tighten the gap....but the FD can be modded to widen the gap too.
But you can believe whatever you want to believe (and that is no disrespect.)
I still have more fun driving my 18 year old 3 series BMW than I do the E46 3 series...so I never upgraded. Some people call me crazy, but I like what I like. That would never bring me to say that my E30 is as good a car as the newer E46 or newest E90...they are much better cars. But I like driving this one...
So definately like what you like, but don't insult Mazda, cause the FD is a step forward from the FC.

yep i do own an FC but drive FDs daily, it just seems to be a common occurrence but to each their own and not every FD owner acts superior but i do find it more common than not when regarding their cars. my car is quicker than most FDs out there but most owners won't even give me the time of day. most of my customers are FD owners because in general they do have more money than most FC owners for rebuilds and upgrades.
i guess you just have to be on the other side of the fence to really notice it though.
now someone is going to ask what i'm even doing here.. i do come here sometimes to offer technical support but sometimes i do put my input about generalizations as well because i often see people dumping on FCs in this section.
